About Lemon Milk Font
Lemon Milk Font is a sans serif type family based on geometric forms. It was made in 2014 by MARSNEV ™ as a visual identity for a zine with the same name published by students of the English Study Program, Universitas Indonesia. It comes in 8 styles: 4 uprights and matching italics. Each weight includes multilingual support, alternates, and more. Lemon Milk is incredibly useful for almost any creative design.
It features clean and highly readable shapes, and by mixing it with thicker weights with a slight shift in stroke width, it gives it a grotesquely unique and distinctive look. With its modern and elegant look, it performs amazingly in both display sizes and headlines. At the same time, it is suitable for editorials and short lines of text of small sizes (magazines, newspapers).
The pro version of Lemon Milk Font is futureproofed and available in variable font format. It means a smaller size for the browser and you can even create your own preferred weight. It has more features such as Stylistic Sets, Small Caps, Case-Sensitive Forms, Contextual Alternates, Lining, Oldstyle Figures, Proportional and Tabular Figures, Fractions, and Ordinals. Moreover, it also has 9 weights, uprights with their matching italics, covering Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek.
You might wonder about the strange name of this font. In early 2014, the Type Artist was a crew of a student zine in his college. And the widely known Lemon Milk font was actually made for the zine with the same name produced by undergraduate students of the English Study Program, Universitas Indonesia.
The font got really good feedback and it motivates the author to develop this font further. The first development was finished in late 2015. In that version, major European accents have been added. Some ‘strange’ characters such as J, D, and ampersand have been modified.
