About Lekton Font
Lekton is a monospaced typeface that draws inspiration from the typefaces used on Olivetti typewriters. Its design is characterized by clean lines and a modern, technical appearance, making it particularly suitable for coding environments, technical documentation, and digital interfaces.
Lekton font was initially conceived in 2008 during a collaborative workshop at ISIA Urbino, Italy. A group of students—including Luna Castroni, Stefano Faoro, Emilio Macchia, Elena Papassissa, Michela Povoleri, obias Seemiller, and others—designed Lekton under the supervision of Luciano Perondi. The project was later refined and expanded with contributions from other designers.
Lekton is distributed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1, allowing for both personal and commercial use.
In summary, Lekton’s blend of historical inspiration and contemporary design makes it a versatile choice for projects requiring a monospaced font with a clean and modern aesthetic.
