Your Windows or Mac comes with a variety of fonts, and you can download others from the Microsoft Store or Apple store and other online sources.

To install fonts on a Windows computer:

Download the font you want to install. The font file should be in .ttf (TrueType Font) or .otf (OpenType Font) format.

However, these files usually come compressed in .zip or .rar folders.

If this is the case, you will need to extract the font file from the .zip file before installing it. To do this, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract All” from the menu.

  • Opening the font file. This will bring up a preview of the font.

To add and install a font on a Mac, follow these steps:

Alternatively, you can install a font by dragging the font file into the “Fonts” folder in your “Library” folder. The font will then be available for use in all applications on your Mac.

Note: Some font files may be in a compressed format, such as .zip. In this case, you will need to unzip the file before you can install the font. To do this, double-click on the file to open it, and then drag the font file(s) out of the window and into the “Fonts” folder in your “Library” folder.
